Globally, behind a large pool of data center companies are industry-representative associations bringing together professionals, companies, and experts involved in the design, construction, operation, and management of state-of-the-art facilities. These associations support the development of the industry and its stakeholders by representing their interests and concerns.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Portugal Data Centre Association <\/span>(PortugalDC),<\/span><\/a> created last August, has as its main focus to provide a clear vision of the current data center environment across the country and as objectives to foster innovation, improve connectivity, promote sustainable development, ensure data security and develop talent within the country’s growing digital infrastructure.<\/span><\/p>\n

The initial group was formed by <\/span>Lu\u00eds Duarte<\/b> \u2013 Head of Facilities Management and Core Real Estate at SIBS, <\/span>Rita Louren\u00e7o<\/b> \u2013 Iberia Critical Power Sales Manager at Legrand Data Center Solutions,<\/span> Jorge Mouta<\/b> \u2013 Head of Mission Critical Data Center at SIBS, <\/span>Tom\u00e1s Fuzil<\/b> \u2013 Head of Real Estate Management at SIBS, <\/span>Carlos Paulino<\/b> \u2013 Managing Director at Equinix Portugal and <\/span>Fab\u00edola Bordino<\/b> former Head of Sustainability, Marketing and Communication at Start Campus.<\/span><\/p>\n
