DCD Academy Scholarships

General information

Start date: second half of 2024

TARGET AUDIENCE: Aspiring data center professionals residing in Portugal, who are in their final year of university/polytechnic institutes or have recently graduated in industrial, electrical, mechanical engineering. Candidates must have knowledge of technical English.

ABOUT THE SCHOLARSHIPS

  • 20 scholarships to complete the course – The Business of Data Centers (E-Learning – 8 hours in Portuguese);
  • 12 scholarships to complete the certification – Data Center Technician – Facilities Management – DCT (E-Learning – 56 hours in English);

 

REQUIREMENTS: Eligibility for the scholarship is granted to recent engineering graduates and students in their final year of studies. By the deadline for submitting applications, the following requirements must be met:

  1. Be in possession of an academic qualification, a degree in engineering, or be legally authorized to obtain it.
  2. Be enrolled in the final year of studies for a maximum period of one year.
  3. Attend the final year of studies and have passed more than 50% of the exams.
  4. Speak English

Application Process

Required Documents: To submit the application, the following data must be sent through the application form:

  1. Personal data of the candidate
  2. Academic curriculum and information about the curriculum
  3. Letters of recommendation from tutors or professors
  4. Cover letter (maximum of 500 words) answering the following questions:
  5. Why are you applying for the scholarship?
  6. Why do you think you are the right candidate for the scholarship?
  7. Are you interested in pursuing a career in the data center sector?
  8. What experience do you have that you think can help you succeed in this sector?

 

Submission of the application:

The application must be completed using the form available online at the link dedicated to this program, in the “Required Material” section on the DCD>Academy website or here on the PortugalDC website.

Candidates are advised to start the procedures as early as possible, not missing the opportunity for evaluation and selection.

 

Incomplete applications that do not contain all the necessary information will not be considered.

From the second half of 2024 until all scholarships are awarded.
